API and CLI
Read CCUCheck game data from your own code or terminal with our public API and the ccucheck CLI.
The CCUCheck public API gives read-only access to game data such as players now and player history. The docs have the full reference, examples and limits.
API keys
- Open Account, then Developer.
- Create a key and copy it. It is shown once, so keep it somewhere safe.
- Send it with each request as Authorization: Bearer followed by your key.
You can try a few requests without a key. With a key you get your plan's daily allowance, shared by every key on your account. Each answer includes a link to the CCUCheck page and the time the numbers were read.
Plans apply as they do on the site. Free keys return the last 30 days of history and Pro keys return all available history. Games found in the last 14 days are only returned to Studio accounts.
CLI
Run npx ccucheck "Adopt Me" in a terminal to see a game's players now and a link to its page. Run npx ccucheck login to connect your account. The docs list every command, including JSON output for scripts and agents.
Too many requests return a 429 answer that says when you can try again.
